I am incredibly excited to serve  Madison Cross Roads Elementary as one of your new assistant principals. I have lived in the Madison County area for almost two years. I am originally from the Birmingham area. I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my B.A. in Early Childhood/Elementary, M.Ed. in ESL Education, and my certificate in Educational Leadership. Go Blazers!

I had the honor and privilege of serving at my hometown school for more than twelve years before moving to Madison County. I have been a first and second-grade classroom teacher and served as an ESL specialist, math coach, and interventionist. I have also been involved in many areas of education, including the Madison County District ESL Committee,  2019 State of Alabama Math Course of Study Committee, ALEX Mathematics Standards Unpacking Committee, ACAP Summative Data Review Committee, an ACTM Presenter, an AMSTI Mathematics Facilitator, Jefferson County Continuous Improvement Learning Team member, and a member of the Jefferson County Superintendent's Advisory Council. I have specialized in training in the areas of OGAP Additive, LETRS, SPIRE, ESL support, Counting Collections, Quality Questioning, Talk Moves, and Number Talks.

My most rewarding accomplishment is being a wife to my high school sweetheart, Josh, and mom to our three kids: Reid, 6th grade, Haddon, 1st grade, and Molly Ruth, Pre-K. We enjoy sports, being outdoors, and being involved at Rivertree.

I look forward to connecting with the families of Madison Cross Roads and serving you as your assistant principal. I count it as a privilege.
