Amelia Evans

I am truly honored to serve the Madison Cross Roads Elementary community as your principal. Over the past three years, I’ve come to deeply love this school and its people while serving as one of the assistant principals.

Originally from the Birmingham area, I earned my B.A. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, M.Ed. in ESL Education, and an Educational Leadership Certificate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham—Go Blazers!

Before joining Madison County Schools, I spent over twelve years at my hometown school, where I served in several roles, including first and second grade teacher, ESL specialist, math coach, and interventionist. I’ve also had the opportunity to contribute to state and district initiatives such as the 2019 Alabama Math Course of Study Committee, the ALEX Mathematics Standards Unpacking Committee, and the ACAP Summative Data Review Committee. 

Of all the roles I hold, the one I cherish most is being a wife to Josh and mom to our three wonderful children: Reid, Haddon, and Molly Ruth. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, supporting our kids’ activities, and staying active at Grace Community Church.

It is a true privilege to serve the students, families, and staff of Madison Cross Roads Elementary. I look forward to partnering with you to support the growth and success of every student.
